Looking to recover from pain and stress or escape thoughts and habits that are holding you back?

You’ve come to the right place.

One of a collection of approaches to personal development approaches I use is called Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). He’s an introduction to it.

Here’s what some notable people say about the power of EFT:

Deepak Chopra, MD

“EFT offers great healing benefits.”

Bruce Lipton, PhD

Author of The Biology of Belief.

“EFT is a simple, powerful process that can profoundly influence gene activity, health and behavior.”

Candace Pert, PhD

Author of Molecules of Emotion.

“EFT is at the forefront of the new healing movement.”

Norm Shealy, MD

Author of Soul Medicine.

“By removing emotional trauma, EFT helps heal physical symptoms too.”

Cheryl Richardson

Author of The Unmistakable Touch of Grace and The Art of Extreme Self-care

“EFT is destined to be a top healing tool for the 21st Century”

Donna Eden

Co-Author of The Promise of Energy Psychology.

“EFT is easy, effective, and produces amazing results. I think it should be taught in elementary school.”

Eric Robins, MD

Co-author of Your Hands Can Heal you.

“I frequently use EFT for my patients with great results.”

EFT evolved out of the work of psychotherapist Roger Callaghan. He wasn’t pleased by how slow psychotherapy could be so he studied a wide range of other discipines including accupuncture in an attempt to speed up the process. At one point he counselled a woman named Mary who had fear of water.

She was standing with her back to his pool one day because he was too scared to look at it and complained that he could feel the fear in her stomach. Callaghan knew that the stomach meridian (energy channel) in acupuncture ended on the bone underneath the eye.

So he had he tap on it for about a minute.

Suddenly she felt better and rushed towards his pool and played with water. She sent him postcards for the next several years – all with water on them – confirming she remained well.

Callaghan went onto to develop Thought Field Therapy (TFT) which still achieves great results today. However, it is complex involving diagnostic muscle testing and then particular sequences of tapping patterns. For some conditions there are no tapping patterns at all.

Callaghan started teaching TFT. One of his students, Gary Craig, asked his permission to teach this own variant. Callaghan agreed. Gary Craig’s Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) was much more simple. It tapped on a wide range of points a number of times rather than trying to figure out which ones should be used.

EFT’s simplicity and Gary Craig’s marketing skill have lead to a massive expansion of EFT across the globe.

Also EFT is constantly evolving. Some new enhancements include Yorkshire woman’s Gwyneth Moss’ Imagineering, which is usefully for helping physical conditions that aren’t currently painful. British EFT Master Karl Dawson’s Matrix Re-imprinting which is particularly useful if you can’t access your own hurt emotions, and New England’s Margaret Lynch who has used her fiance’s insights into the Chakra energy system to blast through blocks especially to money very effectively.

On these innovations and EFT itself I draw on in practice.
